A true K-derma cosmetic brand, 'Dr.G', has been sailing in Hong Kong for 17 years

Gowoonsesang Cosmetics (CEO Lee Ju-ho) and its derma cosmetic brand Dr.G are introducing three limited edition 'Dr.G Inside Out 2' products in collaboration with Walt Disney Company Korea at SASA, a leading H&B store in Hong Kong.

Since entering the Hong Kong Sasa channel in 2007, Dr.G has been loved by local consumers for 17 years and has established itself as a representative K-derma cosmetic brand. Steady-selling BB cream and Aqua Collagen are consistently popular, and popular domestic product lines such as Black Snail and Red Blemish are also showing brisk sales.

With the recent popularity of K-beauty in Southeast Asia, sales last year grew by about 79% compared to the same period last year. The growth rate of the Hong Kong facial care market announced by the Korea Cosmetic Association is about 19.5% in 2023. Dr. G has established an unrivaled brand position in Hong Kong by achieving the feat of ranking first among K-beauty brands and fourth among all brands in terms of private channel sales this year.

Gowoonsesang Cosmetics, taking advantage of this growth, is launching three limited editions of 'Dr. G Inside Out 2' with Walt Disney Company Korea to strengthen its brand position in Hong Kong. This is the third character collaboration edition following Crayon Shin-chan and Kakao Friends. Gowoonsesang Cosmetics planned the launch of this collaboration edition based on its successful experience of establishing a new product market and achieving sales growth through character collaboration.

'Dr. G Inside Out 2 Limited Edition' is available as a 1+1 configuration of ▲Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream ▲Red Blemish Clear Soothing Toner ▲Red Blemish Clear Soothing Foam. In order to expand the interest of local consumers in the Dr. G Red Blemish line, Gowoon World Cosmetics plans to provide goods such as color change cups, umbrellas, and tumblers themed on <Inside Out 2> to customers who purchase the edition. These three types of 'Dr. G Inside Out 2 Limited Edition' will be sold through Hong Kong Sasa offline stores and online mall.

Kim Sol-ji, manager of the overseas sales team at Gowoonsesang Cosmetics in charge of Hong Kong sales, said, “Dr. G is a K-derma cosmetic brand that has been loved by Hong Kong consumers for the past 17 years for its product capabilities based on skin science. We have launched the ‘Dr. G Inside Out 2 Limited Edition’ to expand the consumer experience for our Red Blemish line.” She added, “We will solidify Dr. G’s position as a true K-derma cosmetic brand by expanding various marketing activities, including character collaborations, product planning for Hong Kong consumers, and live broadcasts with local influencers.”

Meanwhile, Gowoonsesang Cosmetics, a global K-beauty company that has advanced into 13 countries in North America and Southeast Asia, including Japan, the United States, and Vietnam, is taking the lead in creating a virtuous cycle structure that practices mutual growth of members and the company through special talent management of 'nurturing individual entrepreneurs' and 'work-family balance.' Dr.G entered the Thai market in earnest by entering the country's major offline distribution channels last August, and is actively expanding into the global market by entering 500 stores of Guardian, a leading H&B store in Malaysia, with its slim derma cosmetic brand 'Lab.it' last month.
