While credit card payments have increased in Japan since the COVID-19 pandemic, many local payments, such as bank transfers and convenience store payments, are still made locally. Therefore, we recommend implementing a local payment gateway (PG) system. We will discuss specific country-specific PG systems in detail during our implementation meetings.
Since the Japanese market has its own unique characteristics, rather than including the Japanese market in a single store, we recommend operating a separate Japanese store and introducing local PG, Japanese settings, and a Japanese-specific delivery system.

Yes, of course. Shopify is designed to enable sellers from any country to sell both domestically and globally. However, some features, such as address auto-completion (find your address on the payment page) and bulletin board-style customer service, are unique to Korea and require some development.
Payment is possible through Eximbay, Inicis, Portone, and simple payment methods such as credit cards, Naver Pay, and Kakao Pay, so there is no problem at all when operating a Korean store, and inquiries about setting up a Korean store are increasing recently.
