'Line Friends Square' opened in Tokyo Shibuya
[Tokyo (Japan) = Reporter Heejung Ahn] Digital IP entertainment company IPX has opened a new regular store, 'LINE FRIENDS SQUARE SHIBUYA' in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. LINE FRIENDS SQUARE SHIBUYA is IPX's first 'LINE FRIENDS SQUARE' to be launched overseas. Located in the heart of Shibuya, a commercial district where people from all over the world gather, it is expected to become a popular location for both Japanese and international tourists.
On the 26th, IPX opened the Line Friends Square Shibuya store and heated up the Japanese archipelago by unveiling the 'Supernatural POP-UP' where you can see the collaboration between Takashi Murakami and Hiroshi Fujiwara, who participated in New Jeans' Japanese debut album.
To enter LINE FRIENDS SQUARE SHIBUYA, more than 600 fans lined up less than 30 minutes before opening, despite the advance reservation system, and on-site reservations were sold out less than an hour after opening. Furthermore, advance reservations for the first day of the pop-up were sold out in less than 5 minutes, and despite it being a weekday morning, local fans, foreign tourists, and media flocked to the event, continuing the New Jeans pop-up craze in Korea.
The Shibuya store is designed as a space where you can experience a more trendy and differentiated IP experience, including not only globally popular IPs such as LINE FRIENDS original characters, minini, BT21, and Usamaru, but also new IPs related to various popular artists, including New Jeans.
At 'Line Friends Square Myeongdong' located in the heart of Myeongdong, which is known as the 'Times Square of Korea', the New Jeans 'Supernatural POP-UP' will also be open until July 10th. Following the 'How Sweet' pop-up that sold out in less than 20 minutes on the first day on June 5th, fans and foreign tourists who have been anticipating this second pop-up for the New Jeans double single are pouring in with their certified reviews.
