Skin1004, US 'Ulta Beauty' Entry···"First Large-Scale Launch of K-Beauty"

Asia Today Seo Byeong-ju Reporter = Raw material-based skincare brand Skin1004 announced on the 20th that it has become the first K-beauty brand to enter the online and offline stores of 'Ulta Beauty', the largest cosmetics distributor in the United States.

Ulta Beauty is a local beauty specialty store with over 1,400 stores in the U.S. Skin1004 has confirmed its entry into 653 stores, which is about half of all offline stores, as soon as it launched online. In particular, as most of the products sold out as soon as it was opened, it was explained that it has been confirmed to enter an additional 739 stores early next year due to favorable responses.

Skin1004 plans to focus on expanding its local distribution channels, starting with its entry into Ulta Beauty. It is expected that by expanding its distribution channels to local beauty specialty stores rather than K-beauty specialty shops or online channels, it will be able to grow rapidly through the main U.S. distribution network.

In particular, Ulta Beauty has over 42.2 million membership members and most of its sales are generated from members, showing high consumer loyalty. Skin1004 is focusing on expanding online and offline touchpoints and inducing purchases to imprint the brand.

A Skin1004 official said, “We believe that this Ulta Beauty store opening will contribute to solidifying not only Skin1004’s position in the U.S. market but also K-beauty’s position in the U.S. Based on the successful Ulta Beauty store opening, we will further strengthen our contact with various global consumers, including those in the U.S.”
