Shopify X YouTube Partnership

Today, content is at the center of brand interactions, and the creator economy has blurred the lines between sellers and creators. Content creators are selling products and launching brands , while sellers are creating content to find new customers.

Shopify and YouTube now offer merchants and creators a way to connect with consumers, run their businesses, and share their stories. With over 2 billion monthly active users, you can connect with consumers and viewers on YouTube, the world’s largest entertainment platform.

Shopify merchants can sell their products on YouTube in three ways:

  • Live Streaming: Sellers can tag and pin products at key points during a live stream, and picture-in-picture playback allows consumers to watch the live stream while checking out.
  • Videos: Sellers can display a curated list of products on their product shelves below their on-demand videos.
  • Store Tab: A new tab is added to the seller's YouTube channel that displays their full product selection.

Because Shopify acts as your sales platform, product details, including titles, images, prices, and shipping, are seamlessly kept up to date across channels. Merchants can also track the performance of live and on-demand videos directly from their Shopify admin. YouTube Shopping is now available to Shopify merchants worldwide.
